Carlton Canyon Guzzler Installation
To access the sight we will be taking a 15 minuets boat ride down the
Owyhee Reservoir and a one mile hike up to the installation sight.
Materials have been flown to the site with the exception of a few
shovels and associated hand tools. The walk into the sites could take an
hour to an hour and a half or more because the sites are in very steep
terrain.

Each of these sights need repairs to the fence and re-level the
drinkers. The Craig sight can be driven to while the Adkins Guzzler is
just over half a mile walk.

Here are directions from I-84:
From Ontario - heading East on Interstate 84:
1. Take the US-95 exit- EXIT 3- toward PARMA.
2. Turn RIGHT onto US-95 S.
3. Turn LEFT onto US-95 just outside of Parma.
4. Turn RIGHT to stay on US-95 by the truck stop south of Homedale.
5. Turn Right onto Mcbride Creek Road (this turn is at the bottom of a
hill across the highway from a sign with a little boy on it that says
"Owyhee Ranchers Caring for Owyhee Rangelands" you will cross a cattle
guard immediately adjacent to the highway). Go West to Rockville (a
school and a few homes next to the creek). Turn Right at the school and
continue West (signs say Leslie Gulch ===>) and the road will cross the creek and then head due north for
approximately two miles. Turn left on the road that is signed "Leslie
Gulch". After about 9 more miles, you will arrive at the Slocum Creek
Campground.
Here are directions from Jordan Valley:

2. Turn LEFT on the Succor Creek Road (If you cross into Idaho
you have gone to far) There will be a sign for Leslie Gulch.

As always, I suggest all check out Topozone.com for topo maps of the
area.
Another good resource is Google Earth.
The road into Leslie Gulch is an improved gravel road but in can be very
wash-boardy in places. This could be a problem for larger RV's.
Public outhouses will be available.
