Miniature Horses

At Andacielo there is a program for young riders who would like to learn to drive a mini & cart. Once the young ladies (occasionally, we do have a brave young man who joins us) have learned to ride at the neighboring training facility, Equestrian Pursuits, the instructor recommends some of her students for the mini program. These kids learn to groom, longe, longline and drive the miniature horses which takes a lot of dedication and practice on their part. This past year, we've added trick training and jumping. The kids and their minis participate in shows and have even presented routines to music both in-hand and in carts. The minis get to know and love their "minikid" and the kids love their minis. Everyone who has seen these kids work with these minis agrees--"there's just something about minis and kids that go together!"
